SAVE THE DATE. THE SECOND ANNUAL RUSSELL SPROUTS CELEBRATION OF LIFE. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH. MUSIC HALL OF WILLIAMSBURG.

The Russell J. Efros Foundation

In loving memory of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend Russell, we established The Russell J. Efros Foundation, Inc.

The mission of The Russell J. Efros Foundation is to connect, assist, educate and fund emerging artists in the community. Our ultimate goal is to build a community space for artists to network, create, collaborate and share their talents. We will provide artists with the tools and resources necessary to achieve their dreams. A collaborative work space, resource center providing creative, marketing and legal assistance, venue and gallery are just a few of the things we plan to bring to life through this project.

About David Arms

David Arms was born in Syracuse, NY in 1991. After a brief period of studying film production at Long Island’s Hofstra University he transferred to CUNY Brooklyn shortly before dropping out to pursue self-taught artistic endeavors. Best known for creating intricate paper collages, David employs a unique blend of ancient and pop culture iconography to depict the sacred life events that bring him closer to his highest self and those tragedies that send him spiraling into mania, occasionally triggering epileptic seizures. Each piece has been carefully crafted using repurposed magazines and comic books with copious attention to detail so that every time someone looks at his artwork they can find something new. In relaying starkly honest commentary on personal and historic events, he works to raise awareness of our inner divinity as well as the obstacles along the pathway to its actualization.
